According to the preface it uses the Masoretic text of the type set in 1866 by the British and Foreign Bible Society (for Hebrew) and The Received Text as set by Stephen Austin and Sons for the Trinitarian Bible Society. It has both the Old and New Testaments in one book. The Brenton translation of the Septuagint is in the public domain. The first is 'The Interlinear Bible' by Hendrickson. It is based primarily upon the Codex Vaticanus and contains the Greek and English texts in parallel columns. For most of the years since its publication it has been the only one readily available, and has continually been in print. Brenton, published in 1851, is considered a long-time standard. This translation is quoted in the New Testament, particularly by Paul, and also by the Greek Church Fathers. As the primary Greek translation of the Old Testament, it is also called the Greek Old Testament. The Septuagint is a translation of the Hebrew Bible and some related texts into Koine Greek.
